Browse our RangeThe Fender Telecaster guitar is one of the most recognisable models ever made. The Telecaster is the guitar that started it all! In 1949 Leo Fender had already been making a name for himself as a manufacturer of electric Lap-Steel Guitars and Amplifiers. His next invention which he prototyped in 1949 however, would change the course of music forever - The Telecaster. Originally released as a single pickup guitar under the name ‘Esquire’ in 1950 and a two pickup version called the ‘Broadcaster’ it was the worlds first commercially mass-produced electric guitar. The name soon changed to Telecaster and the guitar has remained much the same to this day! The Fender Telecaster is one of the most iconic instruments ever made and can be heard the world around on recordings and live performances and is used by some of the worlds greatest guitarists, songwriters and performers.
